BULA VINAKA!!

We arrived in Fiji on February 12 - it has been a wonderful month. We began our mission on January 31, spending the first 10 days in the MTC. It was good, but great to be in Fiji! We hit the ground running, trying to get everything organized in our assignments, taking care of sick missionaries, and getting settled into our new surroundings. Fiji is easy to love, with the beautiful trees, flowers, birds, the ocean...and especially the people. It is so nice to walk down the road and people greeting us with a friendly "Bula!"

Aren't they cute?

The markets. Several square blocks of vendors selling their fruit, vegetables, spices, crafts, etc. Some have tables and are under cover, some just spread a cloth on the ground. Since the 'grocery stores' do not really have much in the way of meat or bread, and no produce, we go to the individual markets to buy our food. Everything is only about 15 minutes from home. Sound familiar?? :)

It is official. While little black babies are cute, I would now like a Fijian baby. Markets look fun!
